Summary
Hudson Scenic Studio is a leading provider of custom scenic fabrication, automation, and painted scenery for the live entertainment industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop technical solutions and create drawings based on design concepts.
Draft assembly and installation instructions for clients.
Order materials and work with the construction team.
Collaborate with Project/Production Managers to meet budgets and deadlines.
Communicate with clients during design and construction.
Assist with quality control.
Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree or above in Technical Theatre, Engineering, and/or equivalent experience
•Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in entertainment or experiential technical design
•Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and 3D AutoCAD, as well as Microsoft programs
•Working knowledge of Mastercam, Vectorworks, Revit, Rhino, Photoshop, a plus
•Sound knowledge of stagecraft practices. Shop fabrication experience recommended
•Experience in designing winches & rigging equipment preferred but not required
•Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and lead when necessary
•Able to work with developing teams with an attention to detail
