An esteemed performing arts organization invites three talented circus professionals—artists, set designers, and/or builders—to participate in a unique research residency. Applicants must be currently based in a Creative Europe country other than France. This 21-day residency, titled 'The New Circus Factory – Reuse: (Re)making for Circus,' will explore sustainable practices within contemporary circus. Participants will delve into the concept of 'reuse' across various aspects, including scenography, props, small apparatuses, and the integration of reclaimed materials and local craftsmanship. The residency is scheduled to take place from November 28th to December 18th, 2026, at Le Milieu in Rennes Metropole, France. A comprehensive support package is provided, encompassing a financial allowance, travel contribution, accommodation, weekday lunches, technical assistance, and professional mentorship.
