A prominent performing arts venue is hosting a five-week Summer Circus Hub in August 2026, designed as a vibrant center for circus artists. This initiative provides artists with facilities for creation, training, idea development, and collaborative engagement within a supportive environment, free from specific outcome expectations. Throughout the month, the main theatre will feature various resident companies, while studio spaces are available for work, training, or creative endeavors through a Free Workspace Lottery. The program also includes weekly masterclasses, industry discussions, informal sharings, and networking opportunities. It offers an excellent chance to connect with peers, advance artistic concepts, and immerse oneself in a dynamic creative atmosphere. All artists are encouraged to participate. This application specifically pertains to the Free Workspace Lottery, which offers circus artists of all levels and disciplines the opportunity to secure complimentary, in-kind studio space at the venue. The facility will be accessible daily from 10:00 to 18:00 between August 3rd and September 4th, 2026. Studio spaces will be provided free of charge whenever they are not reserved for other activities such as hires, classes, or community events. Studio allocations will be determined by a random lottery. Please note that assigned spaces cannot be exchanged or transferred to other companies, as a waiting list will be actively managed. Successful applicants will receive studio space only; technical support will not be provided. Participants in the Summer Circus Hub will also receive invitations to various August events, including workshops, masterclasses, Q&A sessions, and informal sharings. The application deadline is Monday, June 8th. Applicants can expect to be notified of the lottery outcome by the end of June, though additional opportunities may arise last-minute.
