Clowns Sans Frontieres / Clowns Zonder Grenzen-Belgique is an artistic and humanitarian NGO active both in Belgium and internationally to provide psychosocial support through humor and performing arts to populations affected by humanitarian crises or living in very precarious circumstances — primarily children. We are looking for a General Coordinator, with an excellent command of French, for the day-to-day management, structuring, and development of the NGO, in accordance with its values and its humanitarian and artistic framework for action.
Our work
We collaborate with local organizations and local and international NGOs to supplement and strengthen existing programs for the benefit of communities. In Belgium, we work primarily in Brussels and Wallonia, but in the long term, we would like to become (more) active in Flanders again.
Our interventions are based on strong values: humanity, creativity, solidarity, professionalism, and commitment.
Your work
You fulfill a central and strategic role, with a high degree of independence. Your key responsibilities, in direct and close collaboration with the board and the project-backed artists:
Strategic and operational management
Ensure the day-to-day management of the non-profit association in full autonomy
Planning, prioritizing, and coordinating activities
Organizing the follow-up and evaluation of projects
Anticipating challenges and contributing to the long-term vision
Financial management and fundraising
Searching for and managing subsidies
Administrative and financial follow-up of files
Joint responsibility for budget management
Coordination of projects
Management and coordination of projects in Belgium and internationally
Contact and follow-up with partners and grant providers
Communication and representation
Drafting the bimonthly newsletter
Social media management
Implementation of tools for smooth communication
Representation of the non-profit association with partners
Ongoing coordination projects, which will be completed by June 2026: redesign of the website and design of the governance model.
Desired profile
Good knowledge of the cultural and/or humanitarian context
Ability to work independently within a small organization
Organizational talent and a sense of priorities
Writing skills
Analytical skills and strategic insight
Interpersonal skills, diplomacy and a sense of dialogue
Proficiency in office software
Languages
French (excellent level)
English (good level)
A third language is a plus
Diplomas
Minimum Bachelor's degree
Experience
Relevant experience in non-profit management, coordination, or the socio-cultural sector
