The Gallery Players in Park Slope is seeking a Production Stage Manager (PSM) and an Assistant Stage Manager (ASM) for its upcoming non-equity Black Box New Play Festival from Janaury11th-25th.
The festival consists of two separate weekends of plays. Performances are: January 15th-18th and January 22nd-25th. Each weekend of performances is Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7.30PM and Sunday at 3PM. Tech for each of those weekends starts on the Sunday before each Thursday opening. Tech for each weekend is on the Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening prior to the Thursday opening.
So the commitment is short but intense. We are looking for a PSM who is organized, able to handle tech quickly and can deal with seven plays, seven directors, seven casts as well as lighting a sound designers designers. We only require two designers for the festival. The ASM also needs to be organized and quick-thinking.
There will be some prep work prior to January 11th.
The PSM receives a one-time $300 stipend and the ASM a $100 stipend.
