Description:Full job descriptionCircus Center is seeking an experienced Stage Manager for an original show created and performed this summer by the San Francisco Youth Circus, our premiere performance troupe. The 11-member cast begins show creation on June 10 under the direction of our Artistic Director Juliana Neves. Technical rehearsals take place July 6 & 7, dress rehearsal is July 11, and the show will be performed 4 times July 12-14, 2024. Rehearsals: Monday-Friday, 3:45-6:30pm, June 10-July 10. Stage Manager is expected to attend rehearsal at least 3 days/week. Tech Rehearsals Saturday, July 6, 12-10pm Sunday, July 7, 12-10pm Dress Rehearsal: Thursday, July 11 – call time TBD, start time 7pm Performances: Friday, July 12 – call time 5pm, start time 7pm Saturday, July 13 – call time 12pm, start time 2pm Saturday, July 13 – call time 5pm, start time 7pm Sunday, July 14 – call time 12pm, start time 2pm The stage manager will work closely with the director of the show and the entire production and artistic staff. Duties include: Attending rehearsals to take blocking and directing notes Attending all production meetings Creating and distributing rehearsal reports, production meeting notes and performance reports Creating a thorough cue sheet and calling cues for all performances Helping Director to set up rehearsal space Set up for performances Take attendance for rehearsals and performances, contact missing cast members Assist with strike nightly during performance and at the end of the run Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Experience in stage management of live performance Experience working with youth Knowledge of technical theatre Experience with circus performance preferred This position is an independent contractor role, compensated at an hourly rate of $25.
