Trafalgar Entertainment are seeking a Sound No. 3 / Instrument Tech for The Ballad of Johnny and June UK Tour (Fixed Term Contract).

Directed by two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff (Jersey Boys, The Who's Tommy), The Ballad of Johnny and June celebrates American music icons Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, and asks what makes two people stay together or come apart. Told through the eyes of their son, John Carter Cash, the new musical features over two dozen classic songs, including "I've Been Everywhere," "Folsom Prison Blues," "Jackson," "I Walk the Line," and many more.

Dates:

Start date during w/c 16th February 2026 (exact date to be confirmed)

First preview: Monday 2nd March 2026

Opening night: Friday 6th March 2026

Final performance: Saturday 19th September 2026

Job Requirements
To work with the Sound No. 1 and 2, Associate Sound Designer, other production team members to realise the production's sound design to the highest standards.
To support the Sound No. 1 and 2 with fit ups, get outs and technical rehearsals, covering the Sound No. 2 track and maintaining thorough show paperwork in support of the smooth running of the Sound team.
To assist with the ongoing care for and maintenance of any hired or production-owned instruments, troubleshooting issues during performances where necessary.
To work with other backstage staff and local crews to keep to time frames set out within the production schedule.
To actively contribute to the effective operation of the Sound department.
To assist with the maintenance of sound equipment, working closely with Production Sound Engineers during each move.
To personally and with other staff ensure compliance with all safety procedures and statutory regulations.
