It’s about how we live in relation to death – both literally and metaphorically. As a company, we work with improvisation and are looking for experienced people aged approx 33-83, who have life experience of either losing someone they loved or the end of a relationship. Good contact work, strong text, and an ability to be emotionally honest are all helpful. In terms of age, ex-professional contemporary dancers are especially welcome, as we’re keen to cast older performers in the work. As a company, we see people as artists in their own right and are interested their perspectives. We want to talk to global majority dance artists; full or partial African Diaspora, East / South Asian, and Latin American heritage. LGBT, non-normative body types, trans and disabled artists. Confirmed Rehearsal Schedule 3rd October – 7th 2021 18th – 22nd Oct 2021 1st – 6th November, Including the Saturday 2021 8th – 12th November 2021 Rehearsals to be confirmed on receipt of funding 22nd- 26th November 2021 29th November – 3rd Dec 2021 6th December – 10th December 28th Dec – 14th Jan 2022 – 3 weeks inc tech week and previews. Touring 2022 26th February – 11th March – 2 weeks 2nd – 7th May 10th-14th May (Working in care homes and hospices – is presently a maybe) 5th – 21st August Edinburgh tbc 17th October – 12th November Fee Approximately £575 – £625 a week, depending on age and experience.
