Call for Multi-Talented Circus Teaching Artist
Circus Harmony, St. Louis’ only social circus, complete circus school and home of the St. Louis Arches, is seeking unique circus practitioners with advanced level abilities in any mix of the following skill sets to join our collaborative team:
Acrobatics and Partner Acrobatics
Aerial Arts
Juggling and other forms of Object Manipulation
Equilibristics
Videography
Graphic design
PR/Marketing
Basic administrative abilities
Non-profit Administration
Rigging and prop-making
Qualifications
Wants to specifically work for a social circus focused on youth
Has circus arts teaching experience
Can both teach and choreograph
Willing to work with students of all ages and abilities
Has tremendous communication skills
Is very organized and responsible
Can work independently, but also with co-teachers in planning and implementation of established circus arts curriculum across a variety of disciplines
Has common sense and a sense of humor
Has a reliable car
Is legal to work in United States
We prefer people who have been performers and who are looking for long-term placement. Our students range from beginner to pre-professional. Alumni have performed with Cirque du Soleil, 7 Fingers, Circa, Ringling Brothers and more. There are opportunities to perform, if desired. Our students and teachers present over 500 shows a year to over 89,000 people a year.
