Description:SeaWorld® is seeking enthusiastic performers in the height ranges of 5’1”–5’4” and 5’10”–6’2” to portray Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer and Friends.Available roles include: SESAME STREET Characters including Cookie Monster (Height range - 5' 8"-5' 11"), Elmo (Height range - 4' 11"-5' 2"), Zoe (Height Range - 5' 1"-5' 3"), Rosita (Height range - 5' 4"-5' 6"), Grover (Height Range - 5' 5"-5' 7") RUDOLPH (5’1”–5’4”) — A lovable reindeer whose unique shiny red nose saves Christmas. CLARICE (5’1”–5’4) — A sweet young doe who takes a liking to Rudolph and offers him encouragement and comfort when others call him names. BUMBLE (5’11”–6’2”) — A “humbled” abominable snow monster that eventually becomes a part of Christmastown by putting the star on top of Santa’s Christmas tree. YUKON (5’10”–6’2”) — A helpful friend of Rudolph and prospector who searches for silver and gold…and peppermint. Costume Character Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age Must fall within the above specified height ranges Must be able to wear a full body costume (costume will cover head and face) Rehearsal & Show Dates Rehearsals: starting November 1st (Subject to change). Event: November 13th – January 4th (includes Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, & New Year’s Day) Friday – Monday Availability Principle Duties Executes pre and post show duties as outlined in daily schedule Openly accepts performance feedback and critique and adapts accordingly May perform in character revue shows Assists with character training Maintains cleanliness of all assigned work areas Maintains a positive and flexible attitude Positively interacts with guests, employees and others Models company trainings related to guest interactions and animal areas Other duties as assigned Required Skills, Knowledge, Education and Training Must be at least 16 years of age Must be able to positively interact with park guests and team members of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs Must have strong verbal communication skills Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk for prolonged periods of time Previous experience in the fields of dance, theatre, athletics or other performance arts preferred.
