Description:The award-winning, Leeds-based company of Northern School of Contemporary Dance is seeking dancers for its 2023 programme.Where: In person at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds, UK | or by video audition When: In person auditions dates Thurs 28 Jan 2022, Fri 29 Jan 2022, Tues 1 Feb 2022, Wed 2 Feb 2022 Deadline for applications: Monday 10 January 2022 VERVE is seeking exceptional emerging dancers to join the company in 2022/23 to create brand new work with acclaimed international choreographers. In 2022/23 the company will present new work by: KOR’SIA – @korsia_official JAMAAL BURKMAR – @extendedplaydance FAYE TAN – @fayefayefaye.tan All dancers are enrolled on the 1-year MA in Contemporary Dance Performance, delivered by Northern School of Contemporary Dance and validated by the University of Kent. How to apply: Interested dancers must apply online by the deadline of Monday 10 January Dancers will need to submit: • Headshot photo • CV & Showreel • Academic task • Video Audition links (for those who select video audition only) Dancers who select video audition will also need to submit: • Improvisation (3 mins) • Solo: self-choreographed or repertoire (3 mins) • Contemporary technique (5 mins) • Ballet technique (5 mins) • Verbal Personal Statement (3 mins) Stage 1 auditions (both in person and by video) are followed by zoom interviews and recall auditions.
