Gifford’s Circus are seeking an Irish Fiddle player for the 2021 season.

We are a travelling circus performing around the village greens and palace parks of the South West of England to 100,000 people a year. We go from Stroud to London and back again.

We will be playing and devising a score based on the traditional music of Ireland.

We are looking for a fiddle player who is Irish or who can do a faultless Irish accent. You will be an integral part of the whole show; an energetic and enthusiastic approach to performance is a must.

Fully paid rehearsals start on 6th March, running into a season from 1st April until 27th September. You will be performing in an international troupe of jugglers, contortionists, acrobats, horses, clowns and running ducks in a 600-seat tent you have helped put up yourself. Accommodation provided in the form of a vintage circus wagon.

Pay is £650 pw gross
