DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an experienced Production Stage Manager for an engagement in downtown Chicago beginning May 21 2026 through August 24 2026 with possible extension. 8-10 performances per week.

Role & Responsibilities:

Calling each performance (Cues for LX, Video, Audio, Auto, Fly, SFX, Props) - this is a cue heavy show with many fast paced sequences
Creating/Updating the calling script through the rehearsal period and show development
Collating notes from producers, creatives, cast & crew
Show report following each performance & ensuring previous notes are implemented
Scheduling rehearsal and maintenance calls as needed and distributing call sheets
Liaising with the house to facilitate house holds, ASL performances etc
Work with the Technical Manager to oversee the production install and load out
Lead production meetings as required

Requirements:

▪ A working knowledge of all aspects of the theatre, both technical and performance

▪ Excellent communication skills in all mediums

▪ Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills

▪ Ability to supervise and coordinate the activities of performers, crew and vendors

▪ A strong knowledge of QLAB would be an advantage.


Applicants should have 5 years of experience in this position, with preference given to those who have worked in technical/high production shows.

Applicants should be Chicago based or able to reside in Chicago self-sufficiently as accommodation is not provided.
