DIRTY BOOKS – Bated Breath Theatre Company (Immersive)

Bated Breath Theatre Company is seeking a Production Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager to join the acclaimed immersive production DIRTY BOOKS, currently running in New York City. The show has received strong critical response and is entering a robust February performance schedule, including special Valentine’s Day events.

These positions will begin with mid-January shadowing and transition, as our current PSM and ASM complete their planned departures at the end of the month.

DIRTY BOOKS is an intimate, audience-interactive theatrical experience with select moments of participation. Stage management provides essential leadership and oversight, supporting performers and maintaining the integrity of the audience experience. The production operates within a dynamic, nontraditional environment.

Ideal candidates will have:

Experience with immersive, site-specific, or nontraditional theatre (strongly preferred).
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Comfort working in close proximity to audiences and artists.
Comfort with maintain props, box office administration, and the ability to stay flexible, focused, and grounded in a live, unpredictable environment.
Compensation & Schedule:

Performances are paid at $100 per show.
Some rehearsal and shadowing periods are unpaid; details will be outlined in the contract.
Non-Union.
NYC-based.
February performance schedule is busy and will be shared during interviews.
