Job Description
James Steel Productions is seeking a confident and highly organised Production Coordinator to provide logistical, administrative, and operational support across our in-house productions and client projects. Sitting at the heart of the producing team, you'll play a key role in keeping productions moving smoothly from early development through to performance and post-show wrap.
You'll work closely with the Producer, General Manager, and Production Assistant to coordinate schedules, documents, travel, and on-site activity, supporting multiple productions at various stages of delivery. The position is offered as a 1 year fixed-term contract.

Job Requirements
2+ years' experience in theatre production, company management, or coordination roles
Excellent administrative and organisational skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Confident working across multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with Google Workspace, Excel, and project management tools
Calm, flexible, and solutions-focused in fast-paced environments
A strong team player with a proactive attitude
Job Responsibilities
Coordinate rehearsal schedules, production timelines, and logistics across projects
Maintain and circulate key production documents including schedules, contact sheets, and rehearsal notes
Liaise with creatives, cast, venues, and suppliers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Book travel, accommodation, rehearsal spaces, and production facilities
Track petty cash, expenses, and supplier invoices
Support contracting and compliance paperwork under the guidance of the General Manager
Assist with get-ins, tech rehearsals, previews, and company events
Prepare and manage onboarding packs for freelancers and visiting creatives
Update and maintain company files, production logs, and resource trackers
