An exciting opportunity is available for skilled pianists to join a prestigious cruise fleet, offering unforgettable journeys across global waters. This role is with a renowned partner in hotel and crew management for international shipping companies, specializing in diverse maritime experiences, including ocean, expedition, luxury, and river voyages. They provide exceptional career paths aboard premium to luxury cruise vessels. As a vital member of the onboard entertainment team, you will command the stage, crafting memorable and captivating musical experiences. Your primary duties will include performing in the 'La Cage: Burlesque, Bar, Casino' theatre, providing sophisticated bar piano music, and accompanying shows. You will delight guests with a diverse repertoire spanning jazz, swing, evergreens, pop, rock, and film scores. Additionally, you'll provide musical accompaniment for special events like guest receptions and weddings. Collaboration is key, as you'll support and organize synergies with fellow musicians, singers, and guest artists, working closely with the Music Program Supervisor and Entertainment Supervisors. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all onboard pianos, in conjunction with the Music Program Supervisor and Technical Supervisor. There's also a potential for you to serve as a substitute répétiteur, accompanying soloists in their individual programs. Embark on a journey to the world's most breathtaking destinations. Candidates should possess an extensive repertoire across various musical genres, including German cultural music, pop, evergreens, and jazz. Availability for a deployment period of four to six months is essential. Qualified musical training is a must, demonstrating proficiency in diverse styles, sight-reading, chord reading, and quick comprehension. Prior experience as a bar pianist and accompanying singers is highly desirable, with experience in jazz music being absolutely necessary. Good English language skills are required, along with a willingness to learn German. A strong service-oriented mindset and customer focus are paramount.
