Description:
SeaWorld Orlando is looking for talent to fill a variety of upcoming seasonal roles for SeaWorld’s Christmas Celebration!
Seeking costumed character performers who move well to help bring our Sesame Street and Rudolph and Friends characters to life, actors with big personality and improv experience, experienced stilt-walkers, and skilled and personable dancers.
Roles will be filled as part of our daily operation, and various elements within the Christmas event.

Please note that an audition is required for this position and you will need to come prepared in comfortable, athletic attire. If qualified, an email invitation will be sent about an audition to showcase your talent. This position requires immediate availability.
Requirements and Competencies
We are looking for performers in the 4'11''- 5'11” height range only.
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must be personable and animated with a fun, outgoing personality
Must be able to openly accept performance feedback/critiques and adapt accordingly
Must be able to work in indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions and temperature extremes while performing in a character costume
Must have demonstrated strong costume and escorting skills while in the park or during offsite promotions
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds
Must be comfortable working around water
Must be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts, as well as after hour rehearsals
Desired Qualifications
Previous costume experience preferred
Previous guest service experience in high-volume capacity preferred
Possession of a valid state driver’s license preferred
Primary Responsibilities
Perform regularly in costume in assigned area according to show or set schedule
Perform duties of a character escort, which include: facilitating interaction and communication between character and guests, providing directions and park information, and entertaining guest
Assist character ambassadors with getting in and out of assigned costume
Execute backstage tasks as outlined in daily schedule
Assist Costuming team with laundry and maintenance projects as needed
Ensure adherence to safety and procedural directions that accompany this position
Perform other duties as assigned
