The Cité internationale des arts, the largest artistic residence in the world, welcomes more than 300 artists of all origins and disciplines each year, offering them a space to create and conduct research in the heart of Paris.

A targeted program for established artists.
In the Marais, a stone's throw from galleries and cultural institutions, the Cité internationale des arts welcomes artists from all over the world each year. It is in this place rich in history and passages that this residency, launched in 2025, is inscribed.
Architects, designers, exhibition curators, art critics, musicians or performing arts artists: all are invited to propose a demanding research project, rooted in their practice but open to circulations. The challenge is clear: to think outside the box, confront perspectives, and integrate one's work into a broader dialogue.
The program provides for three three-month residencies per year. It explicitly aims to encourage the mobility of artists based in Morocco and to promote their integration into international networks, in continuity with the missions carried out by the French cultural network.

Conditions, duration, and schedule
• Three laureates will be selected for a three-month stay.
• Artistic support, a studio-apartment, and a monthly allowance of at least 1000 euros.
• Coverage of travel, visa, and insurance.
• Access to the program requires at least five years of professional practice in Morocco.
• A structured research project capable of being integrated into an international environment is required.
This requirement reflects the desire to address established profiles, in a transitional phase.
Beyond the material conditions, another relationship with time is at play: a break to experiment, forge links, and advance research. In a context where artistic mobilities remain unequally accessible, these residencies therefore constitute discreet but decisive levers.
