Announcing an exciting new opportunity for UK-based ballet dancers to audition for contracts with UK -based companies.
Where: Olympus Theatre, WISE New Road, Bristol BS34 8LP, Bristol UK
When: 20th August 2023
Deadline for applications: 30th June
A chance to gain valuable audition and performance experience by showing your work in a ballet class, a classical solo and a short contemporary class. There will be contracts on offer from some of the companies on the panel. There are 2 categories as follows:
Group 1: age 16-19 for recent graduates and advanced students
Group 2: age 20+ graduates and professional dancers
The panel will include directors of companies, mostly based in the UK that can offer short to medium term freelance contracts, companies confirmed so far include:
• Brecon Festival Ballet
• Birmingham Royal Ballet
• Cork City Ballet
• Chevalier Ballet (USA)
• English Youth Ballet
• Ballet d’Jerri
• Kirill Burlov Dance
• Bristol Russian Ballet School youth ballet company
PLEASE NOTE THAT PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE DANCERS BASED IN THE UK
