The Cirque du Soleil Casting Team will be holding an open audition for
Hula or Polynesian Dancers on August 28, 2024
Project Description: Cirque du Soleil Entertainment and Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel have teamed up to create a bespoke new show, exclusive to Waikiki, Hawai’i.
Celebrating the spirit of Hawai’i, this 75-minute variety show will be a ground-breaking live entertainment spectacle and will blur the lines between circus, live entertainment, and traditional Hawaiian performance. The show will bring a bold new entertainment concept to Hawai’i, contemporizing while honoring the traditions of Hawaiian culture.
The iconic Hawaiian dance, Hula, will be an integral component to the production, and we are seeking male hula dancers with a solid foundation in traditional hula techniques who can authentically convey the spirit and essence of Hawaiian storytelling.
Required qualifications:
• Open to all gender identities
• Open to all ethnicities
• Must be proficient in both Kahiko and ‘Auana
• Must be a versatile, charismatic, and engaging performer
• Must have live performance experience
• Must be comfortable performing in an immersive atmosphere

Only candidates proficient in the above listed dance styles will be accepted to audition.
