Reporting to our Technical Director, the Master Electrician (ME) is responsible for implementing and maintaining all lighting elements for The Startup in alignment with the Lighting Designer’s artistic vision. December 2025: Likely one, virtual production meeting (not required to attend, but invited) January 2026: A couple of virtual production meetings every other week (not required to attend, but invited) February 2026: A production meeting every week until rehearsals begin (likely virtual) (not required to attend, but invited) February 28-March 21, 2026: Weekly production meetings + Rehearsal (the ME is invited to attend at least one rehearsal to understand what will be needed, but this is not a requirement). March 23-27: Load in/build week. Must be available during daytime hours this week (however time and schedule can be flexible) March 28-29: TECH. Must be available ALL DAY for these two days. March 31: Dress rehearsal (on call in case any issues come up) April 1-4: Preview performances (on call in case any issues come up) April 8-19: Run of show (on call in case any issues come up) Because this is a workshop production, set and lighting elements will be minimal, but we still hope to create the world to a degree outside of just having a bare stage. We are working with a very tight budget and can offer a stipend of $250 for this role. Working hours are quite flexible before tech and we are happy to accommodate your schedule and other commitments/projects. The master electrician will be required to be at TECH all day on March 28 and 29.
