The Philadelphia School of Circus Arts (www.phillycircus.com) has been teaching adult and youth recreational circus-arts classes since 2008. We run about 100 classes / week, and host parties, facility rentals, summer camps, and performances at our new facility in Mt. Airy. We are the largest circus school in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The Managing Director is a full-time, salaried position working closely with the Founder, the Director of Programming and the Head Coach to implement strategy and increase the effectiveness of operations..
Hours: 40 hrs / week, flexible. Must have availability to work some evenings and weekends.
Job responsibilities include the following, and we are seeking candidates with experience in all areas.
- Financial management & QuickBooks (budgets $750K - $1mil)
- HR (legal, policies, payroll)
- Personnel management (leading a staff of more than 20 artistically-minded people, in several distinct programs)
- Communications and day-to-day office organization (email, workflow management, creating and maintaining effective systems)
- Connecting with clients
- Building partnerships with other organizations
