Description:

A distinguished contemporary dance company, based in New York City, is actively seeking athletic, modern male-identifying dancers for its 2026-2027 season. We are looking for individuals who possess exceptional technique, a strong creative spirit, and significant performance experience. Ideal candidates will demonstrate outstanding partnering abilities and a keen desire to contribute collaboratively to the choreographic development process. The 2026-2027 season will feature a series of smaller performances, culminating in a major premiere event at New York Live Arts scheduled for March 11-13, 2027. Rehearsals are typically held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Additionally, Friday morning rehearsals will be required from January through March. Dancers must commit to availability for all scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday rehearsals, as well as the full week of the March performance season. Compensation includes $20 per hour for rehearsals, a full season stipend of $1500, and $100+ for smaller performances. Prospective auditionees are highly encouraged to attend one of the company classes to familiarize themselves with the unique movement vocabulary and artistic vision. These donation-based classes ($10-25) are scheduled for:
* Monday, August 24, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
* Wednesday, August 26, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
