Houston Ballet [ @houstonballet ], under the artistic direction of Julie Kent [ @juliekentofficial ] and Stanton Welch AM, is a professional classical ballet company offering a guaranteed minimum 43-week AGMA contract. The company performs a broad range of classical and contemporary repertoire with over 80 performances each season.
👀 WHO THEY’RE LOOKING FOR:
• Male and female dancers
• Strong classical and contemporary technique
• Highly versatile and performance-ready
🔸 OPEN AUDITION DETAILS:
No pre-registration is required. Dancers should bring:
• Résumé / CV
• Current headshot
• Pointe shoes for women
• Optional: additional dance photos
📆 Date: Sunday, 1 March 2026
📍 Location: Houston Ballet Center for Dance – 601 Preston St, Houston, TX 77002 🇺🇸
Schedule:
• 9:00–9:30 – Registration
• 9:45–11:45 – Combined Class (Women & Men)
• 12:00–1:30 – Repertory Class (selected dancers)
💼 COMPANY CLASS AUDITIONS (BY INVITATION ONLY):
Dancers interested in company class auditions may submit:
• Résumé / CV (PDF or Word) including height, training, performance experience, and email
• Current headshot
• Full-body dance photo
• Video link (Vimeo or YouTube) with at least TWO classical variations and ONE contemporary variation
