Description:

Responsibilities:

Lead all lighting operations for Cabot Theatre productions, including maintenance of lighting, projectors, and sound equipment.
Oversee installs and technical rehearsals for Skylight productions.
Install lighting systems per plots/specs; set up tech tables, monitors, headsets, god mic, etc.
Maintain show lighting paperwork and archive records post-production.
Maintain lighting systems across BTC/SMT events and rentals.
Supervise Studio Theatre Lighting/Audio Supervisor alongside the Audio/Video Supervisor.
Serve as lighting supervisor or coordinate overhire for Studio Theatre events as needed.
Act as primary Light Board Operator for Skylight events in the Cabot Theatre.
Participate in stage crew work, including load-ins, strikes, and changeovers.
Ensure proper shutdown and safety procedures for all equipment.
Assist other production departments as schedule allows.
Coordinate Swing Technician scheduling with other department heads.
Attend feasibility, production, department, and staff meetings as needed.
Perform other duties assigned by the Director/Assistant Director of Production & Facilities.

Skills and Training:

BA/BFA in Theatre or equivalent professional experience in technical theatre.
Proficiency with ETC EOS Systems, QLab, Vectorworks, and Lightwright. (ETC Level 2+ preferred.)
Comfort in both Mac and Windows environments.
Strong multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
Collaborative attitude, ability to work with diverse teams.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work on ladders.
Adequate vision, hearing, and dexterity for construction environments and tool operation.
Irregular hours including nights and weekends required.
