Whole Class/Small Group and 1-1 Instrumental Tutors Wanted (Trumpet, Percussion, Voice, Ukulele, Piano)
£34 per hour (plus holiday pay entitlement)
Employed, Fixed-Term, Part-Time Contract/Self Employed.
Various Hours & Locations in SW19, CR4
We are looking for enthusiastic and engaging practitioners to join our team of peripatetic instrumental tutors delivering outstanding whole class, small group and 1-1 lessons at our Music Centres and in various Merton primary and secondary schools. Self-employed instrumental teaching roles, subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
Whole Class Trumpet Tutor
(£34ph plus holiday pay allowance, Fixed-Term, Part-Time Contract, SW19/CR4)
We're looking for a trumpet tutor, to teach whole class trumpet lessons at two Primary schools, on two weekday afternoons.
Percussion and/or Ukulele Tutor
(£34ph plus holiday pay allowance, Fixed-Term, Part-Time Contract, SM4)
We're looking for a tutor to teach percussion (bamboo tamboo) and/or ukulele, to small classes at a special school in Merton for 2 hours on a Tuesday afternoon.
Music Intervention/Choir/1-1 Piano and Ukulele Tutor
(£183 per day, Self Employed, CR4)
We're looking for a tutor to teach a percussion-based small music intervention group for pupils from with autism who attend an Additional Resource Provision (ARP) unit alongside 1-1 ukulele and piano lessons and a after school choir for pupils at the mainstream primary school, all taking place between 8:50am - 4:30pm in Mitcha
Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Inspiring and involving young people with a love of learning and making music.
Developing resources and adapting practice to suit the needs and interest of all learners.
Communicating with and reporting to parents/guardians and other professionals about pupils' learning needs, to identify and remove barriers to progress and welfare.
Following best practice in safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
Supporting the vision and strategic aims of Merton Music Foundation.
