Internship/Work experience position

ISACS is seeking an intern for a part-time Communication and Event Co-ordinator assistant.

Would you like to experience work in an exciting, dynamic and fast-growing arts sector?

Gain valuable experience in communications and event management and learn with one of Ireland’s leading national arts advocacy organisations: the Irish Street Arts Circus and Spectacle Network.

Role: Assisting the ISACS executive team with event co-ordination, planning and preparation for same. Supporting online communications across a broad range of platforms (website, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Newsletter and Emails). This is an unpaid internship position.



What you will gain from the experience:

You will learn all about the street and circus sector in Ireland, you will make friends and colleagues and build invaluable networks for the future, you will learn all aspects of social media communications and marketing including analytics and live communications at an event as well as how to use a very complex Website (Joomla CMS), you will have access to a large number of networking events, festivals, performances and shows and you will have a great time.

Supported by: ISACS executive (CEO & Marketing/Communication Manager).

Hours: 3 days/week [approx. 20 hours]

Location: Wexford town. The candidate can work remotely but will be meeting with the ISACS executive team at least once a month.



What the Role entails:

Event Co-ordination

Assist the Executive in co-ordinating, planning and preparing for all ISACS events and activities – booking venues, catering, room layout, presentations, delegate packs, evaluations, liaising with speakers, tech support, handling event-brite ticket systems etc

Marketing, Communications, Social Media, PR
Assist the Communications’ team in its daily communications on ISACS Social Media, digital platforms, website and via emails, newsletter and PR communications about upcoming events and ISACS members activities. This will also include live photographing, streaming, tweeting, posting at events.

Assist the Communications Officer with gathering resources for ISACS members (funding, residencies, festivals available, etc) and preparing for dissemination.

Creative Content

Assist with preparing content for blog posts, newsletter, reviews, news and social media posts.

Assist with creating interactive videos and graphics to promote ISACS activities and events.

Search new trends and try new tools to improve ISACS promotional campaigns.

Social Media Analytics

Assist with the collection of data using social media, Google and SEO analytics tools to prepare monthly reports.

Act as an ambassador for ISACS in the course of your work.

Any other reasonable duties that may be required.
