DESCRIPTION
The Back to the Future Tour is seeking a full time Head Sound (A1) to begin work immediately. The A1 is the leader Audio department of the touring production. The A1 works with the Head Carpenter on advancing the venues and truck loading/unloading in load ins and outs. As part of the load in and load out, the A1 designates tasks and works with the A2 and oversees the local crew. The A1 tunes the room in every venue to make the sound system agree with the venue’s acoustics and runs the sound check prior to first performance with cast and orchestra.
This person will also mix the live show to the standards required by the Sound Designer. 2-4 years experience with live theatrical mixing of a First National Tour and excellent communication, management and collaboration skills are a must. Strong understanding of signal flow, show control playback, Avid consoles, Sure Wireless, D&B hardware, array calculations, AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks, and Microsoft Office Suite are preferred.
