Bringing together a dynamic team, Art Event Group is seeking for candidates with the expertise and passion to create world-class performances and experiences.
Reporting to the Technical Director, the Head Rigger is responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of all rigging equipment in order to ensure a safe and smooth running of the scenic and performance apparatus. He manages the rigging team and ensures that the safety and security of people and equipment is respected at all times.
The Head rigger trains performers and technicians on the proper safety procedure of the equipment. He is also responsible to establish the procedures for safety and rescue in height.
Profile:
We are seeking for a candidate with excellent analytical and planning skills, who is organized, proactive and self-sufficient in carrying out his tasks.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as Head Rigger in live show production or experience in a similar field,
• Strong experience in performer rigging for live shows,
• Training in safety procedures and fall arrests,
• Valid ETCP rigger certification an asset (preferred),
• Excellent people management skills with the ability to encourage and lead people to achieve a high standard;
• Strong understanding of the production and creation process;
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to work in a foreign country with the capacity to adapt to local customs and culture.
