A prominent entertainment venue is seeking dynamic and specialized performers to join a large team for an electrifying Halloween event. We are actively recruiting skilled circus artists, compelling scare actors, and versatile dancers to embody terrifying characters for this thrilling experience. As a Scare Performer, you will undergo comprehensive training, participating in rehearsals and performances. All necessary costumes, props, and makeup will be supplied, allowing you to focus on contributing your boundless energy and commitment to creating an unforgettable, spine-chilling experience. Please note that while this is an exciting opportunity, additional casual shifts beyond the Halloscream 2026 event are not guaranteed. To be considered for this role, candidates must be fully available to attend a mandatory audition. Successful applicants will also need to be available for all crucial October rehearsal and event dates. Furthermore, candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, an NSW Working with Children’s Check for paid employment. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate high energy to captivate diverse audiences and deliver terrifying yet safe guest interactions. Strong communication and interpersonal capabilities are essential, alongside an energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic demeanor. An unwavering commitment to safety and professionalism in all aspects of performance is also required. We seek individuals with a background in live performance, including theatre, acting, circus, dance, or street performance. Strong acting and improvisational skills are highly valued, enabling quick thinking, audience engagement, and consistent character portrayal. Proficiency in circus and specialty performance skills such as Lyra/aerial performance, juggling, contortion, or miniature bicycle riding is a significant advantage. Confident audience interaction and the ability to entertain a wide range of guests are essential. Basic makeup skills, particularly in character, theatrical, or special effects makeup, are also beneficial. While not all skills are mandatory, we encourage auditionees to highlight any experience or proficiency in these areas, as they may enhance consideration for specific roles.
