STAGES St. Louis, a professional musical theatre company entering our 40th season, is seeking Production Staff to join our 2026 Season. The Season, which runs from May through October, consists of three large-scale musicals: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Guys and Dolls, and Come from Away. Start and End dates depend on each individual position. All seasonal positions are paid bi-weekly on Fridays. Although limited, housing is available on a first come first serve basis. STAGES St. Louis strives to create a diverse and inclusive environment.

ELECTRICS SUPERVISOR
STAGES St. Louis is looking for an Electrics Supervisor for our 2026 season. Although start and end dates are flexible, they are generally from March to September. The Electrics Supervisor works closely with the Technical Director to implement the Lighting Designer's vision.

1. Required skills
a. Confident reading and interpreting drawings and plots.
b. Solid understanding of electrical systems and power distribution.
c. Comfortable working at heights.
d. Experience with ETC systems, consoles and fixtures.
e. Familiar with the operation and maintenance of consoles and lighting fixtures, including incandescent, LED and moving lights.
f. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical and mechanical issues.
g. Knowledge of standard equipment and practices to implement the lighting designer's plans

2. Required duties
a. Design, maintain, and oversee the installation of the seasonal lighting package.
b. Oversee the strike and storage of all lighting equipment.
c. Schedule, coordinate all specialty lighting equipment specified by Lighting Designer.
d. Price, order and coordinate all specialty equipment specified by Lighting Designer.
e. Coordinate all necessary paperwork for each production with the Lighting Designer.
f. Supervise each load-in, changeover, strike, and focus call.
g. Design the circuiting and system layout for each production.
h. Work with the Technical Director and/or Properties Supervisor to design, oversee, and/or install electrical components in scenic pieces.
i. Assist in design and development of special effects.
j. Maintain the lighting design and equipment once into rehearsal and performance.
k. Run the light board for rehearsals and performances in the event the Light Board Operator is unable.

l. Supervise and maintain the electric shop.
m. Supervise any backstage electrics.
n. Track and report all electrics expenses.
o. Maintain an inventory of electrics equipment and resources as determined by the Production Manager.
3. Required concepts
a. Excellent interpersonal skills with many different personality types
b. Attention to detail in all aspects
c. Commitment to performing all aspects of job with respect to design adherence as well as safety

4. Organizational
a. May be required to participate on show crew in the event of illness or injury
b. Attend Production Meetings and other meetings as required
c. Read and adhere to the guidelines in the Employee Handbook
d. Other duties as assigned

Working conditions may include nights and weekends, and some overtime as needed. Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders and stairs, and work at heights. A moderate degree of physical ability is associated with production positions, including the ability to lift and move up to 50lbs. Must be able to safely operate a fly system as well as have knowledge of properly knotting ropes. Wearing and or using personal protective equipment is required. May be required to drive a company cargo van and 26' box truck.
