Job Description About the Role Nottingham High School is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Drama Technician to join our vibrant Drama Department. This is a dynamic and varied role, offering the opportunity to work at the heart of the school's exciting academic and co-curricular performance programme.You will support all technical aspects of Drama and Music productions, help facilitate lessons, and play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for students to explore their creativity. From lighting and sound to set construction and costume coordination, your work will be essential in bringing our performances to life We are looking for someone who: Enjoys working with young people and brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive approach Has strong written and verbal communication skills, and can engage confidently with staff, students, and parents Is computer literate and comfortable using online platforms to support their work Is highly organised with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage time effectively in a busy school setting Is self-motivated and capable of working independently, using initiative to meet deadlines and maintain high standards Has excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to ensure consistent quality and safety Is flexible and collaborative in their approach to work, including a willingness to work outside normal hours when required Is committed to ongoing professional development and open to participating in relevant training Works well in a team and demonstrates a genuine commitment to supporting the success and wellbeing of young people Why Join Nottingham High School?
