ROYO are looking for experienced Production staff for the 2026 Curve and London Coliseum Run of Kinky Boots the Musical.

Job Description

This joy-filled sensation, based on a true story and hit movie, features Tony and Grammy winning music and lyrics by pop icon Cyndi Lauper, a hilarious and life-affirming book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein and is directed by Nikolai Foster (Grease and The Wizard of Oz).

PRODUCTION DATES:

Rehearsal Dates: 9th February - 22nd February 2026 (Curve, Leicester - Monday to Saturday)

Get-In & Technical Rehearsals at Curve, Leicester: W/C 23rd February 2026

Performance Dates at Curve, Leicester: W/C 2nd March 2026

Get-In & Technical Rehearsals at London Coliseum: W/C 9th March 2026

Performance Dates at London Coliseum: 17th March - 11th July 2026

Job Requirements

Ensure the smooth running of rehearsals, technical rehearsals and performances, including ongoing cover rehearsals
Maintain the Prompt Copy, including blocking, script changes, technical cues and any other relevant information
Calling the performance
Support the Assistant Stage Manager (Book Cover) in learning to 'call the show' in a consistent and safe manner
Cover the Assistant Stage Manager plots to enable cover within the department
Work alongside the Company Manager, Stage Manager and other technical teams to establish a show-stop procedure prior to the first public performance.
Alongside the Stage Management team setting up for daily warm-ups and rehearsals
Deputise for the Stage Manager including learning their backstage track.
Job Responsibilities
Clear, confident communication with the Stage Management team, technical departments and performers
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, live production environment is essential
Experience of being 'on book' for large-scale musicals
Ability to score read is preferred
Familiarity with and adherence to current Health & Safety guidelines relevant to the production is essential, which may include working at height, using appropriate safety equipment and clothing and attending training as deemed necessary.
