CHRISTMAS - Dancers and Singers, Thursford Christmas Spectacular
DANCERS
With a troupe of 23 excellent all round female/female identifying dancers, we have 18 on-stage tracks plus 5 swings. Rotation of dancers, and days off are handled by our Dance Captain, Tanith Williams. Dance styles are varied and in 2025 included Parisian Showgirl, skins work, musical theatre, Irish and precision kick-line work. Any special skill such as Irish will always be taught during the rehearsal process, no prior knowledge is required. All our artistes are versatile, with a positive attitude. They should enjoy working as part of a strong united team, where all members are equally valued. Our numbers do not have solo or lead dancers. They will be required to wear full costume and full skins. Once performances start there are two a day, seven days a week. Given the frequency of performances, they have to know their stamina and how to pace themselves accordingly, though we schedule one day off every 8-10 days. All cast members live locally for the duration usually in shared holiday accommodation. Subsistence is included in the fee to cover this. Travel is by car, and those without have to make arrangements with drivers in the cast. Payment is made in several instalments, each one of which must be invoiced for. The job is hugely enjoyable - they will perform to ecstatically happy capacity audiences (over 1,400 seats), and stay in a beautiful part of the world, less than 15 minutes from the coast in North Norfolk. SINGERS
An on-stage ensemble cast of 48 Singers share solo and chorus duties, and are supported by a team of swings. This large chorus is cast from a wide variety of backgrounds from classical, musical theatre and pop. Singers have to learn and sing, uniformly, a range of styles from Choral to Show-tune, memorising a lengthy and complex score in a short space of time whilst they learn the choreography. They will also sing in smaller ensembles, duets, trios and solos or in our offstage sound booth. During the first half of the show singers and instrumentalists are spread throughout the building and contact with the Conductor is via monitors. The second half of the show is more in concert format with the conductor at the head of the orchestra and the choir often in two blocks either side of the stage. PANTOMIME - Dancers, local to Bournemouth
UK Productions are looking for local talent or have a base within 25 miles of venue. Dancers aged 16 or over for the Principal Ensemble with Principal Cover roles. Auditions are being held at: ‘The Ballroom’, The Pavilion Theatre, Bournemouth on Thursday 7th May 2026. 12pm Principal Ensemble Audition. (Dancers to arrive at 11.30am to warm up) PLEASE ALSO NOTE THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: - • Role: Ensemble who may be required to cover principal roles. • MUST be aged 16 or over (Over licensing Age and completed GCSE’s). Please check time off college/work is allowed before audition. • Dance Audition: A high standard of both ballet and jazz is required. • Auditionees will be taught a routine on the day. Please bring heels to the audition. • Strong acting & vocal skills required for covering principal roles. • Please prepare a Disney song as may be required to sing on the day - bring backing track on iPod/iPhone/MP3. • May be required to read sides (script) on the day. • Must be available to start rehearsals from Monday 23rd November 2026, (two weeks full rehearsals- no time off will be allowed) and be available for the full schedule of performances from Saturday 5th December – Sunday 3rd January 2027 inclusive. • First week of rehearsals 10am – 6pm including Saturday. • Second week (production week) – rehearsals between the hours of 10am – 10pm. • Rehearsal and performance fees will vary, depending on age. • All auditionees need to live within 25 miles of the theatre’s postcode; travel and relocation fees are not included in the contract. • Email [email protected] to register by Thursday 30th April. CASTING BREAKDOWN
SEEKING: Performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, and union affiliations to portray male- and female-identifying roles. Celebrity Cruises encourages gender diverse and color conscious casting. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds, gender identities, and abilities are encouraged to apply.
VOCALISTS: Seeking powerhouse vocalists with great stamina. Styles include pop/rock, R&B, rap, and contemporary musical theatre. Vocalists to play Female-identified roles need a strong mix/belt to F5, and legit to C6 for some roles. Vocalists to play male-identified roles need bari- tenors to G4 and tenors up to B4 with strong falsetto extension for both. MUST MOVE WELL.
F1: [POP/ROCK BELTER] - Seeking a POWERHOUSE female-identifying vocalist unapologetically full of soul with a strong sense of self. Must be able to wail to a G. MUST be a confident and strong mover a la Beyoncé, JLO & Pink. Some roles require the ability to rap.
F2: [POP/ROCK BELTER] - Seeking a quirky leading lady with killer pop vocals a la Arianna Grande as Penny Pingleton. Must be able to mix/belt to an F. MUST be a confident mover.
F3: [POP/ROCK BELT/LEGIT SOPRANO] - Seeking a LEGIT SOPRANO with killer POP BELT. Think Charlotte Church meets “Before He Cheats’” Carrie Underwood. Must be able to mix/belt to an F and comfortably sustain a C6. Must have a radiant presence and MUST be a confident mover.
F4: [POP/ROCK/BELTER/ACTOR] - Seeking charismatic vocalist/actor with maturity to perform in immersive entertainment productions onboard our newest flagships. Playing age 25 - 35. Must be a confident leading lady, strong actor who moves well. Vocal Range/Style: Powerhouse vocalist unapologetically full of soul with a strong sense of self. Must be able to wail to a G. Must be a confident mover a la Beyoncé. Styles to include Chic, Alicia Keys, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Adele, Jennifer Hudson.
