The Dance Company of Stadttheater Gießen is looking for Dancers / Physical Theatre Performers (m/f/d)
Constantin Hochkeppel, designated artistic director of the Dance Company Gießen, is looking for new ensemble members by coming season 2022/23.
What we expect:
– an education or extensive experience in contemporary dance or physical theatre,
– experience with performative and acting forms of expression,
– experience with and interest in the use of voice and text on stage,
– interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and in collective creation (“devising process”) as well as
– a desire to deeply explore the content of the pieces
Dance Giessen
The dance company of Stadttheater Gießen comprises an ensemble of 9 dancers/performers. By season 2022/23, new artistic teams will start in all sections together with the designated manager Simone Sterr.
The Dance Company will be led by Constantin Hochkeppel, whose choreographic roots lie in physical theatre. Together with various guest choreographers, the company will create about 4 pieces per season and is involved in other productions in the drama, young theatre and music theatre sections.
For our work within the Dance Company and with the other sections of the Stadttheater Gießen, we value an open, appreciative communication and collaboration as well as a lively ensemble culture in which the dancers/performers contribute and are supported with their ideas and interests.
