A performing arts organization in Long Beach, CA, is seeking passionate and innovative theatre artists to contribute to its 2026 season of full-scale musical theatre productions. Submissions are actively being sought for contract/project-based roles including Directors, Choreographers, Music Directors, and Production Designers specializing in Scenic, Lighting, Sound, Costume, and Projection. Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with experience and the scope of each project. The upcoming season features a captivating blend of contemporary and classic musicals, brought to life through focused, condensed rehearsal and technical periods. Each production culminates in an exciting three-week performance run. The organization thrives on a strong, collaborative artistic community and seeks individuals energized by the unique demands of musical theatre, eager to contribute to bold, high-quality theatrical experiences. Ideal candidates will possess significant experience in musical theatre, coupled with a distinct artistic vision. Adaptability, solution-oriented approaches under tight timelines, and clear, professional communication across artistic and production teams are essential. Meeting deadlines for all creative deliverables (such as blocking, scores, choreography, and design plots) is required. Availability for scheduled pre-production meetings, rehearsals, tech, and previews is also necessary.
