Description:
26/27 Residencies: Call for projects is now open! Supporting artistic creation is the primary mission of Archaos. Every season, the Center hosts around fifteen companies in residency. This provides artists with the opportunity to conduct research in an environment conducive to artistic experimentation, and to engage with the public, notably through "work-in-progress" showings.
Residency at Archaos
A temporary hosting arrangement of at least 10 days is offered to companies whose primary discipline is contemporary circus. This residency allows them to work on a creative project under optimal conditions.
The objectives
Create, develop, rehearse, or finalize a performance related to circus arts.
Research and experiment with new artistic forms or deepen a creative approach.
Share with the public during meetings and work-in-progress showings.
Resources Provided
One of Archaos’s two large venues, the Salle In Vitro, is made available to the hosted companies. This versatile space is fully equipped to meet the technical requirements of professional performances. It includes a stage, modular seating for 150 people, and two dressing rooms located backstage. During work-in-progress showings—titled Les Rendez-vous Cirque—the venue transforms into a welcoming meeting space open to the public, featuring a bar and light catering options.
