We’re Hiring Part-Time Coaches for Gymnastics and Circus Classes!🤸🏼‍♀️🤹
Do you love working with kids? Have experience in gymnastics, circus arts, or other movement practices? Want to keep learning and growing as a coach in a fun, supportive team?
Salt Spring Circus & Gymnastics is looking for energetic, kind-hearted coaches to inspire the next generation of gymnasts and circus artists.💜
We run classes twice a year (late Sept–early Dec and late Jan–end of April), Wednesdays to Saturdays at the Salt Spring Island Multi Space in Ganges.
We offer:
Preschool to pre-competitive gymnastics
Flexible classes for neurodivergent kids
Beginner to intermediate circus classes (ages 7+)
Classes are team-taught with a lead coach providing guidance.
What You’ll Do:
Support the lead coach in planning and leading fun, age-appropriate activities.
Run warm-ups and skill-building games.
Teach small groups (4–6 kids) focused skills like cartwheels, beam walking, trapeze, or juggling.
Create a positive, safe environment.
Participate in ongoing training to grow your coaching skills.
Who We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or youth.
Coaching experience is a plus, but not required—we’ll train you!
Skills in gymnastics, acrobatics, circus arts, or similar.
Gymnastics Foundations Certification (or willingness to get it—we’ll help).
Requirements:
Criminal record check (after job offer).
