The Revel Puck Circus are looking to expand our network of freelance crew members for our touring team. We are an independent arts organisation that tour in a big top. Our current production, The Wing Scuffle Spectacular, will be hitting the road again this year across the U.K. We are looking for new company members to support on the build
and break of the big top and site, day to day running of the circus including crewing and front of house duties. The full company tours together in live in vehicles, working and playing to deliver exceptional cultural activities to undeserved communities. You will be working under the instructions of Production Manager and as required Tent Master, HOT (Head of Tech) and Bar Manager.

Circus Crew Responsibilities:
The below list is not exhaustive but is meant to give an idea of what the role will
involve.
Site Build/Break:
- Working under the direction of Tent master to support Big Top tent build
- Erection of temporary structures including kitchen & bar etc
- Support in site build, including but not limited to; site electrics & power, site plumbing & water and erection of Heras fencing
- Loading/unloading equipment from trucks and support in vehicle movement
- Receiving deliveries from contractors
- Inspecting equipment for damage after use & checking against inventory
Pre/Post Show duties:
- Opening and closing of site for public
- Filling heaters from fuel reservoir (Big Top diesel heaters)
- FOH Duties including welcoming guests, seating (crowd management), bar prep and support on bar (serving and taking cash/card payments)
- Waste disposal including site litter picks and pre/post show in Big Top
Site daily duties:
- Monitoring and reporting fuel levels
- Perimeter fence and security checks
- Big Top and temporary structure safety checks
- Toilet checks and replenishing stock
- Caravan maintenance and upkeep of company assets and infrastructure

Desirable but not essential:
Driving license & own vehicle
Own accommodation (van, caravan, etc) strongly preferred·
Confidence with power/hand tools (own tools preferably)
Vehicle mechanics
Carpentry
Metal working
Rigging/Climbing
Knowledge of lighting and sound
Forks driving
HGV license
As we live and work on site, crew are on call 24/7 in the case of an emergency. Weekly wage dependent on individual experience and skill set, starting at £550 per week.
Food and travel expenses covered.
Initial periods of employment – Mid April –mid May July-August.
