Applications are invited for an exceptional 21-day research residency designed for talented circus artists, set designers, and builders. This unique opportunity is open to professionals residing in any Creative Europe country, excluding France. The program, titled 'The New Circus Factory – Reuse: (Re)making for Circus,' focuses on exploring innovative reuse concepts within contemporary circus arts. Participants will delve into sustainable practices for scenography, props, and small apparatuses, emphasizing the utilization of reclaimed materials and local making techniques. The residency is scheduled from November 28 to December 18, 2026, at Le Milieu in Rennes Metropole, France. Comprehensive support includes an allowance, travel expense contribution, accommodation, weekday lunches, dedicated technical support, and expert mentoring. The final deadline for submissions is July 3, 2026.
