Cultural professionals globally, alongside national and regional stakeholders, are invited to a two-day professional development event in Lund, Sweden. This gathering is a pivotal part of a major regional festival, now in its second year, which encompasses 17 municipalities with its core activities centered in Lund. The festival aims to strengthen Southern Sweden's standing as a vibrant hub for contemporary circus and artistic collaboration. Attendees will engage with a carefully curated program featuring live performances, insightful seminars, and valuable networking opportunities. Mark your calendars for September 10-11, 2026, in Lund, Sweden. The first day, September 10th, is dedicated to 'Innovation Inspiration.' In collaboration with the esteemed innovation network Future By Lund, this segment will explore groundbreaking concepts and introduce a new Innovation Award specifically for circus arts. The evening will feature performances by Beyond by Circumstances (BE) and OPA Fashion by Grind Art Club (SE). September 11th focuses on 'Regional Development: Roadmap Øresund.' This session, presented in partnership with Dansk Samtidscirkus, Riksteatern Skåne, and Cirkuscentrum, will emphasize fostering regional knowledge exchange and sustainable growth throughout the Øresund area. The evening program includes a performance of Ten Thousand Hours by Gravity and Other Myths (AU). Early pre-registration is currently open. The registration fee for this professional event is €20, granting full access to the entire program and all performance tickets. A limited number of international attendees may be eligible for 2-3 nights of hotel accommodation in Lund, subject to availability and allocated on a rolling basis. This initiative receives proud support from the City of Lund, the Swedish Arts Council, and the Swedish Arts Grants Committee (International Circus Programme), with additional co-funding from the European Union via the Circostrada Network SAIL funding scheme for advocacy.
