We are recruiting for a Circus Arts Assistant Teacher, a unique opportunity to work in one of the most stunning, vibrant and energetic training centres and the only Conservatoire school for circus arts in the UK.
The Participation and Outreach department provides courses and training opportunities in circus arts for people at all ages and stages. Programs include recreational courses and classes from young people aged 3 and up through to adults, Further Education and progressive training for 11 – 21 year olds.
This role is an opportunity to gain greater understanding of teaching and learning at a range of ages and stages. Majority of work will be on Saturday/Sundays working with ages from 2 – 18 years old, however as your contract evolves, you’ll have the opportunity to work across all ages and on our adult, outreach and progressive programmes. If you are applying for this role, you must be comfortable teaching younger age groups and be able to commit to working weekends. For the appropriate candidates, we use the role to mentor them to become full circus teachers on all our programme areas.
Salary: Hourly rate £12.30 per hour
Contract: One-year - 0 hrs contract
Holiday Entitlement: 30 days holiday per annum, pro rata, inclusive of the eight statutory bank holiday and rising 1 day per annum up to a maximum of 35 days. You are expected to take your holiday outside of the academic term.
