Description:

A prominent artistic institution in Vienna, Austria, invites applications for its Term 28 residency, fostering innovative choreography and performance art. This program seeks dedicated performing or dance artists with postgraduate studies and at least three years of professional freelance experience. The call is inclusive, welcoming individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds engaged in contemporary dance, choreography, or performance art. Projects suitable for solo, duo, or trio presentations, lasting between 20 and 40 minutes, are encouraged. The residency offers a structured, mentored environment with essential space, expert guidance, and production assistance. Participants will conceive and refine new performance pieces, collaborate with experienced mentors, showcase their creations, and engage with a dynamic artistic community. The program timeline includes research access from mid-June 2026, a dedicated development period from September to October 2026, and a final showcase on November 5–7, 2026. The application deadline is May 12, 2026. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed between May 27 and June 3, 2026, with final selections announced by June 10, 2026. Rehearsals are scheduled to begin on June 22, 2026.
