Description:October 18, 2022If you are interested in street theater, Toxique Trottoir awaits you for a week of casting starting November 7! Toxique Trottoir's mandate is to create artistic projects in public spaces that participate in the development of a more united society. It engages artists, the public-citizen and public places in a process of encounters and unusual dialogues. An encounter between theater, clowning and poetry that transforms the relationship to daily life, to the city and to the representation. Through an original relationship with the public through interactivity and the questioning of the spect-actors, Toxique Trottoir creates for all, for a social, intercultural and intergenerational mix. Toxique Trottoir brings communities together to humorously encourage citizens to reflect on contemporary social issues. In a will of social transformation, the organization has a recurrent implication around projects created for and/or with particular publics: homeless people, handicapped people, immigrants, underprivileged social environments, etc. For Toxique Trottoir, the artistic intervention outside the walls has the ambition to create a social link, to propose a full and physical use of the public space. This one becomes then a collective space, inclusive and united, a place of expression and exchanges which takes part in the social cohesion.
