Description:For more than twenty years, we have worked with workers, unemployed people, refugees, teachers, artists from different disciplines, climatologists, sociologists, anthropologists, philosophers, educators, college students, students, residents. working-class neighborhoods... Each in their own way, on their own scale, demonstrates human complexity and expertise. Our writing is inspired by these encounters, we listen to these different ways of looking at the World and acting on it.Le Grain affirms an artistic and political approach which unfolds over the long term and which offers forms of hybrid and experimental stage writing. Description ad Open Windows is a series of regular, ritualized events during the Brest summer, organized primarily in the working-class neighborhoods of the city. The formula aims to bring people together in outdoor common spaces and cause housing windows to open. We want to mix artistic, festive and entertainment proposals to unite and create the conditions for meetings and sharing. We invite you to propose shows, concerts or artistic objects of various forms (theatre, music, dance, performance, etc.) that can be adapted to a village (or popular neighborhood) celebration banquet. In particular, we are looking for forms that can address people seated at a table, outdoors and producing interaction. The tables and spectators would be arranged in a concentric circle with an empty central space and 3 other slightly elevated peripherals. Depending on the location, other spaces could be used: building windows, street furniture, etc. OPEN WINDOWS will take place on Fridays in summer 2024 between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. in 9 popular neighborhoods in the city of Brest: Bellevue, Kerangoff, Kerbernard, Keredern, Kerourien, Lambézellec, Pontanezen, Queliverzan, Valy Hir.
