A prominent regional theatre organization is pleased to announce open auditions for three distinct upcoming stage productions, offering diverse opportunities for performers. The first production, 'Holiday Sunshine,' is a heartwarming cabaret evening designed for the festive season. This family-friendly show, conceived and directed by Walter M. Mayes and Bob Sunshine, will feature beloved holiday melodies and a special appearance by Santa. The organization is seeking twelve vocalists—six men and six women—who excel in both solo performances and harmonious ensemble work. Next, 'MusiComedy' offers a cabaret evening dedicated to the lighter side of musical theatre. Under the creative direction of Brad Handshy, this production focuses on crafting evenings filled with humorous musical selections. While soprano roles are limited, performers with alto vocal ranges are particularly encouraged to submit songs in that register if applicable. Finally, the company presents 'Candide: In Concert,' a captivating concert rendition with minimal staging of Leonard Bernstein's iconic masterwork. Adapted from Voltaire by Hugh Wheeler, with lyrics by Richard Wilbur, Stephen Sondheim, and John Latouche, this ambitious production will be directed by Dennis Lickteig, with D. Asa Stern serving as Music Director and Rachel Michelberg as Vocal Director. It will feature a robust company of forty performers alongside a full onstage orchestra. As a special fundraising event, all participants will generously donate their time. Key principal roles for 'Candide: In Concert' include:
* **Candide:** The naive protagonist (Vocal Range: A3-A5)
* **Dr. Voltaire/Dr. Pangloss/Governor/Host/Sage:** The wise narrator, pompous philosopher, and various other roles (Vocal Range: G2-G5)
