This is a supporting role, assisting the workshop co-leaders with facilitation of weekly Angel Shed sessions. We are looking for a committed individual, motivated to develop as a facilitator, and who is passionate about inclusion, theatre, and working with children and young people. They will be a playful facilitator who can handle the creative unpredictability of sessions with a light-hearted approach and keep the wellbeing of children always at the forefront. Please note, formal training or qualifications are not required for this role and support will be provided to the successful applicant.
This is a freelance self-employed position at £16.00 per hour
Fixed-term part-time contract, 3.5 hours per week (term-time only), January - July 2026. Mondays 3.45-7.15pm (planning 3.45-5.00pm + delivery 5.00-7.15pm)

Position subject to an enhanced DBS check (provided by Angel Shed).
Job Requirements
Person Specification
You must:
be an aspiring facilitator with a positive attitude.
have experience working with children.
be able to foster good and supportive working relationships with staff, volunteers, and members.
be someone who will value and maintain the positive and inclusive ethos of Angel Shed.
You will ideally:
have experience working in SEN/D or inclusive settings.
have been trained in safeguarding and child protection.
We particularly welcome applications from those who also have skills in movement/dance or music.
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities
Assisting the Lead Facilitators in the inclusive facilitation of Children's Theatre sessions and performances:
supporting Lead Facilitators with session planning
facilitating group creative tasks, leading ensemble warm-ups, and demonstrating activities
supporting members one-to-one where necessary
Performing with or supporting members at performances.
Being responsible for admin at sessions and assisting in setting up and packing down rehearsal equipment.
Supporting and participating in termly staff & volunteer training sessions and weekly briefings & debriefs.
