DESCRIPTION

Shrek On Tour, LLC is seeking an Assistant Stage Manager to join the North American bus & truck Tour of Shrek The Musical. Theatrical touring experience is required. Reporting to the Stage Manager and Company Manager, the Assistant SM is responsible for assisting the SM in the daily operation of the show and helping to maintain the creative intent of the production.


Responsibilities:

· Assist the Stage Manager during the rehearsal process.

· Oversee and direct crew tracks during performances.

· Partake in deck tracks as required by the show

· Maintain and upkeep show paperwork and documents as they pertain to crew tracks and other documentation as assigned by the Production Stage Manager

· Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure department notes are being addressed, i.e., prop repair, costume fix, etc.

· Other duties as assigned by the Production Stage Manager (PSM)


Qualifications:

· Two or more years of experience in a Theatrical ASM or similar role.

· One or more years of theatrical touring experience.

· Must hold a current passport and have no international travel restrictions.

· Familiarity and working knowledge of standard touring practices.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment and demonstrated sound judgment when issues must be escalated.


Details:

· Rate is $1000 per week plus per diem.

· Position to start 10/30 with travel to tour

· Contract ends 12/30
