IWEISS, one of the nation's premier theatrical drapery manufacturers—and a truly great place to work—is seeking an Assistant Drapery Production Manager to join our team in Fairview, NJ. Conveniently located just minutes from the George Washington Bridge or Lincoln Tunnel, we’re also a short bus ride from the Port Authority Bus Terminal.
About the Role
The Assistant Drapery Production Manager will support the Drapery Production Manager in all aspects of shop operations. This includes ensuring a steady flow of materials into the shop and managing the timely delivery of finished work to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and oversee the production schedule to ensure timely delivery.
Keep inventory records updated and organized.
Source and purchase materials, including researching new fabrics and supplies.
Assist the Production Manager in the day-to-day management of shop operations.
Communicate effectively with shop staff, clients, and project managers.
Handle fabric sampling and job tracking.
Required Skills:
Proficiency with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
A sense of humor (we believe in enjoying what we do!).
A theatrical background is helpful but not required.
