Half Moon's Trustees of are looking for two new joint CEOs - an Artistic Director and an Executive Director - to provide inspirational leadership for the company.

Half Moon is the UK's leading small-scale children and young people's venue and touring company. It is a local community focused organisation with a national touring remit, committed to supporting artists and young people at every stage of their creative development. Championing diversity and inclusion is at the heart of all the company's activity. Half Moon is a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England and receives regular funding from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, with the turnover for 2024/25 expected to be just under £1m.

Jointly the Executive Director and the Artistic Director will work closely together to develop the company's vision and business plan.

The Artistic Director will deliver an ambitious artistic and creative learning programme that inspires and supports the theatre's audiences, participants, stakeholders and staff.

Individual and joint applications are welcome.

Job Requirements
A track record in, or in-depth understanding of -

theatre-making/producing and artform development for young audiences across the full 0-18 age range, particularly within a diverse urban context.

AND

participatory arts and applied theatre practice across a variety of contexts, including schools, community/youth and HE settings.

Job Responsibilities
The Artistic Director will co-deliver an ambitious artistic and creative learning programme that inspires and supports the theatre's audiences, participants, stakeholders and staff. They will keep abreast of current practice and developments in the arts and education sectors.
